Lipoprint LDL and HDL*

Polyacrylamide gel Electrophoresis Method for the Separation and Measurement of Cholesterol in all Lipoprotein Fractions and Subfractions
The Lipoprint System is a device for the separation and measurement of low density lipoprotein (LDL) subfraction cholesterol. The system comes with the electrophoresis chamber, power source, digital scanner, iMac computer (with proprietary Lipoware software), color printer and reagent kits. The Lipoprint LDL kit is provided for separation of LDL subfractions. Lipoprint HDL* kit can be used for separation of high density lipoprotein (HDL) subfractions. Results can be obtained in less than three hours.
The Lipoprint system is easy to use and can be installed at any clinical or research laboratory.

Bioptigen's 3D SDOCT systems

Bioptigen's pioneering in vivo optical imaging technology allows researchers and clinicians to see pathologies at their earliest stages. The sophisticated SDOCT hardware and software system enables real-time non invasive imaging of internal tissue microstructure at an unmatched level of precision and depth.
Bioptigen's pioneering in vivo optical imaging technology allows academic and life science researchers to see pathologies at their earliest stage with unprecedented detail and clarity across a wide range of subject applications.
This sophisticated OCT hardware and software system enables real-time non-invasive imaging of internal tissue microstructure at an unmatched level of precision and depth, extending the application space to cover a wide range of human and animal subjects. These advances make it possible for researchers to open up new avenues of biological exploration and development, and to foster advances in disease detection and management.
Bioptigen's 3D SDOCT systems are ideally suited for biotech, biomedical, clinical research and pre-clinical pharma applications. Bioptigen's product suite includes a broad selection of application-specific scanners, including clinical scanners, hand-held probes, and OCT microscopes, OSDR engines operating at 840 or 1310 nm, and state-of-the-art software for advanced structural and functional OCT imaging. The 1310 nm engine is the OSDR engine of choice for a variety of applications such as tissue imaging, anterior segment imaging, small animal, external and ex-vivo imaging, while the 840 nm engine is ideally suited to image the retina in small animals (rodents, rabbits), large animals (such as dogs and pigs), and humans. Bioptigen's systems enable the researcher to resolve the microstructures of the retina in fine detail, such as the nerve fiber layer, the inner and outer plexiform and nuclear layers, and those of the retinal pigment epithelium, and the vessels of the choroid. The tissue structure of the cornea, conjunctiva and sclera can also be very clearly visualized with a mere change in focal position and no increase in optical power.
Bioptigen's software suite works in tandem with the scanner and engine to offer intuitive and flexible system control with advanced functionality including high-speed volume acquisition and imaging, volume intensity projections for generating en face images (similar to the fundus images acquired of the retina) that enable accurate cross-sectional image registration, and Doppler processing for quantifying system dynamics and flows. Two unique, powerful features are the ability to reprocess the acquired spectral data and the ability to perform automated dispersion compensation optimization. These features give the imager the ability to optimize image quality even after acquisition is complete. Images can be saved in one of several different formats, allowing for the data to be exported to other applications for further processing, measurement, segmentation or 3D rendering.

Piccolo® xpress On-The-Spot Chemistry Results in minutes

Piccolo® xpress On-The-Spot Chemistry Results in minutes
The Piccolo xpress is a compact, portable clinical chemistry system designed for on-site patient testing. Roughly the size of a shoebox, health care providers use the easy to follow color touch screen commands to perform routine multi-chemistry panels. 0.1cc of whole blood, serum or plasma is added directly to the patented 8-cm diameter single use plastic disc containing the liquid diluent and dry reagents. The disc is placed in the analyzer drawer where centrifugal and capillary forces are used to mix the reagents and sample in the disc. The Piccolo xpress monitors the reagent reactions simultaneously using nine wavelengths, calculates the results from the absorbance data and reports the results. The Piccolo xpress self-calibrates with each run and the on-board continuous intelligent Quality Control (iQCT) monitors the analyzer, reagent reactions and sample to ensure chemistry and instrument integrity. This assures you the highest quality and accuracy in results. Results are ready in approximately 12 minutes with a "hard copy" report suitable for the patient file or transferred to a computer, printer or an LIS/EMR. This enables you to rapidly obtain critical diagnostic information at point of care. The easy-to-use, maintenance-free system requires no special training to operate.

On the spot lab results
The Piccolo xpress delivers routine multi-chemistry and electrolyte test results quickly and easily in virtually any treatment setting,
A fully automated system with walk away operation
Uses a small sample size (0.1cc of whole blood, serum or plasma)
No sample pre-treatment is needed
Results are available in approximately 12 minutes.
The built in intelligent Quality Control meets CLIA and NCCLS requirements for daily control testing
The Piccolo xpress delivers up to 24 individual tests including CLIA-waived lipids, liver enzymes and glucose monitoring
Results are provided in a "hard copy" self-adhesive report or can be quickly transferred to a printer, computer or data management system, enabling physicians to rapidly obtain critical diagnostic information at the point-of-care
Small on Space. Big on Accuracy.
Compact and portable, the Piccolo xpressT is easy to incorporate into your clinical setting, yet provides the precision and accuracy comparable to larger, more expensive laboratory analyzers.
