A mask is a device used to protect the entire face of the wearer (or part) of the impact hazard such as flying objects and road debris, chemical splash (in industry), or potentially infectious fluid (in medicine). In a medical mask refers to a variety of devices used to protect a health professional during a procedure that could expose the worker to blood or other potentially infectious fluids. An example is the use of a CPR mask in artificial respiration or CPR scene. Another example is the use of personal protective equipment to guard the face against splashing, spraying or splashing of blood or other potentially infectious materials.
