The shape, softness and contours accurately mirror the perilaryngeal anatomy to create the perfect fit. This innovative concept means that no cuff inflation is required. The i-gel works in harmony with the patient's anatomy so that compression and displacement trauma are signficantly reduced or eliminated.
i-gel is designed for use in securing and maintaining a patent airway in routine and emergency anaesthetics for operations of fasted patients during spontaneous or intermittent positive pressure ventilation (IPPV).

Introducing a much improved range of plastic laryngoscope blades in response to growing concerns about the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfecting procedures for laryngoscope blades. The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland, in their guidelines 'Infection Control in Anaesthesia', encourage the use of single use laryngoscope blades.
These new blades are designed to offer a stronger, safer cost effective solution to help reduce the risk of cross-infection. The range is compatible with the ISO7376-3 green specification handles, as indicated by the green Intersurgical logo near the heel of the blade.
Features: High impact grade plastic; light source via acrylic rod with optical transmission properties; smooth blade with improved 'click' mechanism; ultra smooth blade with matt finish.
Benefits: Very strong and lightweight alternative to metal blades; provides the user with an excellent light transfer to the blade tip; ensures a safe and secure connection; ensures smooth transition inot the airway and easy passage of the tube, with no light reflection off the blade.
